Punk Nominated For Golden God Award, JR Comments On A Texas 'Mania, Pearce-WWE

- NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce, who had neck surgery over a year ago, told Brian Fritz of BetweenTheRopes.com that he expected to be in WWE's FCW developmental territory before getting injured and says if it weren't for his age, he thinks he would be there. The 33 year-old Pearce says he doesn't see himself wrestling past this year.
- Jim Ross reminded fans on Twitter why WrestleMania won't be held at Cowboys Stadium in Texas for at least the next two years - the NCAA basketball tournament. JR wrote:

"fans clamoring for Wrestlemania to be in Cowboys Stadium are apparently unaware that do to NCAA basketball it's not available nx 2 years."

- Chris Jericho was in attendance for yesterday's 2012 Golden Gods Awards press conference in Los Angeles with Alice Cooper, Zakk Wylde and others. Jericho hosted last year's awards show but no word yet if he will be involved this year. This year's show takes place on April 11th at Club Nokia in LA.

Jericho rival CM Punk is up for the Most Metal Athlete award this year. Punk goes up against MMA star Gina Carano, motorcross racer Brian Deegan, MLB star Evan Longoria, NBA player Dirk Nowitzki and NFL star Mitch Petrus.
