Angel Di Maria thrilled with goalscoring Real Madrid return in Racing Santander victory

The Argentine winger was overjoyed to hit the net upon returning to the team after almost two months out and insisted that his side are not worried about Barcelona's result.
Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria was ecstatic to return to action in the club's 4-0 thrashing of Racing Santander at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Argentina international was introduced in the second half and scored Madrid's third goal as Los Blancos became 13 points clear at the top of the Liga table ahead of Barcelona's clash against Valencia on Sunday.

It was Di Maria's first appearance since December after sustaining a thigh injury and the 24-year-old was thrilled with his display.

"I am very happy for everything," he told Real Madrid TV. "I have returned to the team after a long time, I scored and we won the match.

"I could have played against Levante, but we decided that it was better if I trained one more week before returning. And everything went well."

Di Maria then stressed that his side are not thinking about the possibility that Barca may drop points in Sunday's match, saying: "We are only thinking about ourselves.

"If we keep adding three points every week, we will not lose the Liga."

The winger's goal was his fifth in 15 Primera Division outings so far this season.
