Paris Saint-Germain president admits Suarez, Higuain & Torres could be summer targets

The Ligue 1 giants have been linked with both South American attackers, and it has now been confirmed they could be pursued in the upcoming transfer window

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has admitted that players such as Real Madrid's Gonzalo Higuain, Chelsea's Fernando Torres and Liverpool's Luis Suarez could be potential targets for the French capital club this summer.

Les Parisiens have been linked with several high profile names in the past few months and head coach Carlo Ancelotti is keen to strengthen his attack in the upcoming transfer window.

The former Chelsea manager previously named the aforementioned trio as potential reinforcements, and Al-Khelaifi has now confirmed that PSG could make their move come the end of the current season.

"These players [Higuain, Torres and Suarez] could be of interest to us," the French capital outfit supremo said in an interview with La Gazzetto dello Sport.

Nevertheless, Al-Khelaifi was quick to point out that the Paris giants have no intention of spending big money just for the sake of it, and stressed that they're keeping an eye on the long-term future as well.

"The players we've approached so far were interested in the project PSG. We won't be spending cash without thinking. We only go after the players who are committed to our project.

"Our priorities are a better training centre, a youth academy that will help us develop the new [Lionel] Messi. And we want to stay at the Parc des Princes which represents our history."

Paris Saint-Germain currently sit atop of the Ligue 1 table with a one-point lead over second-placed Montpellier.
