Manchester United 2-1 Liverpool: Wayne Rooney double sends hosts top as Luis Suarez scores after snubbing Evra handshake

The England striker struck twice in the second half to hand the home side victory, with the Uruguayan's return not enough to help the Reds make up ground on the top four

Two goals from Wayne Rooney fired Manchester United to victory against Liverpool in a fiery encounter at Old Trafford.

Tensions ran high in Manchester, as Luis Suarez returned to the Liverpool starting XI for the first time since he was suspended for racially abusing United defender Patrice Evra – refusing to shake the Frenchman's hand before kick-off – to poach a late consolation goal for the visitors.

Rooney, though, stole the show, as his two goals early in the second half proved enough to hand United three points and send them top of the Premier League table, with Manchester City still to play on Sunday.

Sir Alex Ferguson made only one change from the side that drew 3-3 with Chelsea, as Ashley Young dropped out of the squad altogether. Paul Scholes replaced him in midfield, with Ryan Giggs shifting to the left-hand side. United were, however, boosted by the return of Tom Cleverley to the bench.

Suarez, as expected, was made to feel decidedly unwelcome at Old Trafford but Kenny Dalglish had no hesitation in throwing the Uruguayan striker back into the Liverpool attack. Andy Carroll and Craig Bellamy were among the substitutes, with Jordan Henderson returning to the midfield ahead of Charlie Adam.

All eyes, as has become the custom following player feuds, were on the pre-match handshakes and Suarez did nothing to cool tensions ahead of kick-off by refusing to acknowledge Evra. The 25-year-old was then snubbed himself by Rio Ferdinand.

With the pre-match niceties, or lack of them, out of the way, the game itself began at an encouraging pace. Antonio Valencia immediately began to cause Jose Enrique problems on the United right, but without a genuine left winger to mark, Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson looked the most threatening player on the pitch in the opening exchanges. The English defender cut inside Evra before shooting narrowly wide from the edge of the box.

Giggs began the game tucked in alongside Scholes and Michael Carrick, but as he was forced wider to counter Johnson, Liverpool began to get more of a grip on the match in central midfield. Despite Giggs' troubles, he did find the space on the left after a tremendous United move to cross on to the head of the unmarked Scholes, who was denied at point blank range by Pepe Reina.

By the end of the half, Suarez was once more the focus of Old Trafford. After complaining furiously that he was fouled by Ferdinand when through on goal – replays showed the 33-year-old won the ball – the striker, in his frustration, booted the ball towards the stands as Phil Dowd blew his whistle for the break.

That antagonism reportedly spilled over into physical confrontation as the two teams made their way into the dressing room, but the second half started in explosive fashion for footballing reasons.

Giggs' corner from the United right-hand side was inadvertently flicked on at the near post by Jordan Henderson into the path of Rooney, who volleyed beyond Reina from close range to open the scoring.

He wasn't finished there. Jay Spearing was hounded down by Valencia around the edge of his own penalty area and after the Ecuadorian had turned over possession, he was left with the simple task of rolling a pass into the path of Rooney, who passed the ball into the back of the net to leave Liverpool reeling.

Rooney should have had his hat-trick by the hour mark. After Scholes smartly dummied Valencia's pass across the edge of the penalty area, the 26-year-old advanced on to Reina only to poke the ball wide of goal from little more than eight yards out.

Dalglish introduced Carroll and Bellamy in an attempt to revive his side's chances but whereas Johnson had rampaged into space in the first half, Rooney was the man enjoying the freedom of Old Trafford in the second. David de Gea remained largely untested through 75 minutes as Adam joined the fray for the visitors.

United were looking comfortable until an innocuous free-kick into the penalty area was miscontrolled by Ferdinand, allowing Suarez to bring the away team back into the game from inside the six-yard box.

De Gea saved well from Johnson but United were able to hold on to ensure that the Reds continue to trail Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal in the race for a place in next season's Champions League.

The Rock Answers Wrestling Related Questions

- The Rock was asked about professional wrestling in several media interviews this week to promote Journey 2. Here are some highlights:
The Chicago Tribune:
Is it true you're still involved with wrestling?

A: Yes. I quietly retired about eight years ago from the WWE, when I was still on top, to focus on acting, but I'm getting back in the ring for one night in April with the goal of creating the biggest match of all time. So, I'm training extra hard right now. For me, those wrestling roots run deep as my grandfather and my dad wrestled, and I love that form of entertainment. That's where I cut my teeth, getting into the entertainment business and doing it for 10 million fans every week.

Mashable.com:
This is from lifeinthechickencoop on Tumblr: “Being a third-generation pro wrestler, would you encourage or discourage your own child from entering the profession?”
That’s a great question that I get asked often. I would encourage my children, or anyone else’s, to get involved in pro-wrestling-slash-sports-entertainment if that’s their dream. It’s very personal and deep for me because I come from a long lineage of pro wrestlers, so I have a lot of love for the business. It’s provided an amazing opportunity for me and I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. But the first thing I always tell kids is get their college education. Then if pro wrestling is what they want to do, I’m all for that. But understand that with great success comes consistent hard work.

Liverpool's Luis Suarez snubs Patrice Evra handshake

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez refused to shake Manchester United defender Patrice Evra's hand before Saturday's game between the fierce rivals.

Suarez, who was banned for eight matches after racially abusing Evra when the sides met at Anfield in October, snubbed Evra in the pre-match handshake at Old Trafford.

Evra reacted angrily and tried to grab the Uruguayan's hand.

England defender Rio Ferdinand then refused to shake Suarez's hand.

Saturday's lunchtime kick-off was the first time Evra and Suarez had come into contact following the incident last year, which saw Suarez banned for eight games and fined £40,000.

Match preview:Manchester United - Liverpool

Date, time, and coverage Saturday 11 February 2012, 12:45 GMT kick-off. Live on Sky Sports. Also follow live on ManUtd.com with text and radio commentary.

Form guide
United are unbeaten in the Barclays Premier League since the 3-0 defeat to Newcastle on 4 January but were knocked out of the FA Cup at Anfield last month. The amazing comeback at Chelsea should boost morale as the champions remain in touch with leaders Manchester City and can go above Roberto Mancini's men, perhaps temporarily, with three points from the early kick-off. Liverpool have won only two of their last eight league encounters but have progressed in both the Carling Cup and FA Cup at the expense of some high-profile scalps. The Merseysiders appear to have been finding things slightly easier on the road recently after drawing too many games at Anfield, including Monday's stalemate with Tottenham.

Ins and outs
Tom Cleverley could be in the squad again but the game looks likely to come too soon for Nani. Nemanja Vidic, Darren Fletcher and Michael Owen remain sidelined while Phil Jones and Chris Smalling could miss out again due to injury. Paul Pogba is poised for a place on the bench after sitting out the Reserves' defeat to Manchester City on Thursday. Full-back Jose Enrique is doubtful for the visitors but Fabio Aurelio has returned to fitness. Luis Suarez is pushing for a start after re-emerging from his ban with a substitute's appearance against Tottenham. The influential Brazilian midfielder Lucas is out for the remainder of the season.

Last meeting
A late winner by Dirk Kuyt ended United's interest in the FA Cup last month after Ji-sung Park cancelled out Daniel Agger's opener. The previous league meeting saw Steven Gerrard's free-kick edge Liverpool in front at Anfield on 15 October but Javier Hernandez came off the bench to salvage a point with a headed equaliser.

Opposition boss
Kenny Dalglish returned for his second spell in charge of the club after Roy Hodgson departed and has the unequivocal backing of the Anfield outfit's support. He will enjoy locking horns with fellow Scot Sir Alex again on the touchline and fully understands the huge rivalry between the two most successful clubs in the country. An exceptional striker in his playing days, he also guided Blackburn to the Premier League title after leaving Liverpool.

Star man
Steven Gerrard continues to pull the strings for Liverpool and he's enjoyed plenty of personal success against the Reds over the years. Quickly returning to something like his best form after being out from the end of October until Boxing Day, the dynamic midfielder now has 10 league games under his belt this term. Although he has only scored twice in the league, one came in the 1-1 draw with United at Anfield and he is not only a threat with his free-kicks but remains pretty deadly from the penalty spot. Still the heartbeat of Dalglish's team.

Quote/unquote
"Everyone involved, including the media, the supporters and both teams have a responsibility to ensure this weekend is remembered as a cracking game of football between two very good sides, rather than for anything else." - Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool manager.

Sub-plots
After Patrice Evra was jeered at Anfield, the expectation is that Suarez will face a barrage of boos at Old Trafford after the FA found the Uruguayan guilty of racially abusing United's skipper. There will certainly be intense focus on Suarez, who marked his comeback against Spurs with a yellow card for kicking Scott Parker in the chest. Avenging the undeserved FA Cup defeat must be in the Reds' minds but three points are all that really matters in terms of the bigger picture - pulling further clear of Liverpool in the overall pecking order with a 20th title success.

Whistle blower
Phil Dowd will be the coolest head in the white-hot atmosphere as he takes control of proceedings. The experienced official took charge of United's victories over Manchester City (Community Shield), Chelsea and Wigan Athletic this season and is used to handling big matches.

Rivals watch
Manchester City are not in action until Sunday at 4pm, when they travel to Aston Villa. On Saturday, Tottenham entertain Newcastle, Arsenal are at Sunderland and Chelsea travel to Everton.

Van Persie denies expressing interest in joining Real Madrid

Marca stated that the player said he was open to moving to the Santiago Bernabeu during a telephone conversation on Thursday, but the Dutchman claims he never spoke to the paper

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has vehemently denied showing an interest in joining Real Madrid.

Marca claimed that during a short telephone conversation with the player on Thursday the Netherlands international had been buoyed by reports that Los Blancos were keen on signing him.

"I am pleased to hear about the interest from such an important club as Real Madrid," Van Persie allegedly told the Spanish daily.

"Of course I would like to play there ... [But] I don't think Arsenal will agree to negotiate."

However, the player himself has moved to dismiss the veracity of the article on his Twitter profile.

"Contrary to reports in Spain I have NEVER spoken to Marca newspaper and never gave any interview. Enjoy your day," the in-form striker wrote.

Van Persie, who has struck a career-best total of 28 goals for the Gunners already this season, has been linked with both Madrid and Barcelona in the last few weeks.

Madrid coach Jose Mourinho was in the market for a top striker last summer, but was frustrated in his attempts to bring in Sergio Aguero from Atletico, with the Argentine eventually signing for Manchester City in a deal worth around €40 million.

And despite the positive form of both Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain this season, Mourinho is still thought to be keen on signing a world-class frontman.

Hot WWE Diva Katlyn

Official: Olympiakos sign Colin Kazim-Richards on loan from Galatasaray

The former Sheffield United man will spend the rest of the season at the Greek club, who have the option of making the move permanent at the end of the season.

Olympiakos have confirmed the signing of Galatasaray winger Colin Kazim-Richards, who will join the Piraeus outfit on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old moved to the Turk Telekom Arena from cross-city rivals Fenerbahce last January, but despite featuring regularly for the Istanbul club, has now moved to Greece.

The Athenian outfit will have the former Sheffield United man's services until the end of the season, and have the option of signing Kazim-Richards on a permanent basis in the summer.

This is Kazim-Richards' second loan-spell since moving from England to Turkey, having spent time in Ligue 1 with Toulouse.

Meanwhile, Alexander Hleb could be set to follow Kazim-Richards to the Karaiskakis Stadium, having been released by Barcelona earlier today, according to Woop.gr.

However, a potential sticking point in the deal could be the Greek side's need to free up a non-european spot in their squad.

Cisse 'sure' R's will avoid drop

Djibril Cisse is "100% confident" QPR will survive in the Premier League after scoring on his debut in the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.

Cisse only obtained clearance to play an hour and a half before kick off but needed just 12 minutes to break the deadlock.

Mark Hughes's £4million capture from Lazio showed the top flight pedigree evident at Liverpool and Sunderland and is relishing forging a partnership with another newcomer in Bobby Zamora.

Cisse said: "It is a good thing for us that we have signed Bobby Zamora. The objective is to stay in the Premier League.

"We need good strikers and good players, it is good to play alongside a good striker and Bobby fits into that category.

"But, from I saw against Villa, I was really impressed and 100% sure we will stay up."

Hughes has no doubt that Cisse will have a massive impact at Loftus Road.

He said: "I thought he was excellent. I think everyone understands why I wanted to bring him to the club.

"He was bright and intelligent in his running and showed the power and pace we all know he has - and a good finish as well.

"He is going to be vital for us because that is something we maybe haven't had in the club before in terms of his quality and his power and technical ability.

"That is going to benefit us to the end of the season certainly."

Hughes added: "Also in my thinking was all the experience Djibril has of the Premier League. When you bring players to a club, ideally you want them to have an understanding of the Premier League.

"Certainly in January, it is difficult if you are bringing in players who have no understanding of what the Premier League is like and no understanding of the intensity they are going to face.

"He understands that and that is why he was able to make the impact he did straight away."

QPR's deadline day signing Djibril Cisse was on target early on against Aston Villa, as he shot with the outside of his boot from the edge of the box.

The Frenchman bagged himself yet another Premier League debut goal (having also scored on his Liverpool and Sunderland debuts) and put the R's 1-0 up.

Here is his debut goal against Aston Villa:

Bale named in UEFA.com selection

Tottenham winger Gareth Bale has been named in UEFA.com users' Team of the Year for 2011, alongside eight Spain-based players.

The 22-year-old Wales international, who helped Spurs reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season, was the only Barclays Premier League representative in the XI.

Five players from European champions Barcelona - Dani Alves, Gerard Pique, Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi - made the line-up along with Real Madrid trio Iker Casillas, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bayern Munich's Holland forward Arjen Robben and AC Milan's Brazil centre-back Thiago Silva completed the team, chosen by 380,000 uefa.com users, with Barca coach Pep Guardiola selected on the bench.

Van Persie first to reach 20 goals

Arsenal striker set to finish season as Barclays Premier League top scorer

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has become the first Barclays Premier League player to reach 20 goals for this season.

The prolific Dutchman, who leads the League's scoring charts, reached the milestone during the Gunners' 7-1 thrashing of Blackburn Rovers at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Van Persie went on to score twice more, meaning the 28-year-old has now scored 22 goals in only 24 Barclays Premier League fixtures this campaign.

The Arsenal striker was also the first man to reach 10 goals and he did that while scoring a hat-trick too, in the 5-3 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in October.

Van Persie's 22 goals put him six ahead of Newcastle United's Demba Ba (16), and seven away from Manchester City's Sergio Aguero and Manchester United's Wayne Rooney (both 15).

None of those four have ever won the Barclays Golden Boot award for the top scorer in a season, with Man Utd's Dimitar Berbatov winning it with 20 last term and Man City's Carlos Tevez with 20 the year before.

The last man to score 30 goals in a Barclays Premier League season was former Man Utd forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who struck 31 in only 34 matches in the 2007-08 campaign.

The Sleep Gossip

Real sniffing around Robin van Persie in the summer, Chelsea could move for Capello, Pogba off to Juventus and...

REAL AFTER RVPWell holy hell.

You might've thought the tabloids had enough on their plate with arranging the special plith to carry Harry Redknapp down Wembley Way, but it seems they've found enough time in their busy schedules to write a little bit of gossip.

The Sun reports this morning that Real Madrid are sniffing around Robin van Persie. Well, actually, they report on reports from Real rag Marca, so the juice is already draining from this rumour a little bit.

Still, the report says Jose Mourinho tried to sign RVP when he was at Inter Milan, so will try again in the summer when the Dutchman's contract has only a year left to run on it.

'But isn't Jose going in the summer?' you might well cry. Yes, yes he might be, but The Sun still thinks Real will make a move.

The wheels of the saga go round and round...

CHELSEA COULD MOVE FOR FABIO
So, we've seen the last of Fabio Capello in this country, right?

Wrong. If The Sun has their facts right.

The paper reports that Chelsea could be making a move for Fabio Capello should they decide to kick Andre Villas-Boas through the revolving door of their manager's office.

Rob Beasley, who we wouldn't argue with on the basis that he has the eyes of a cold, cold killer, writes that there is 'spiralling speculation', whatever that might mean, that Capello is on his way to the Bridge.

They quote a 'Chelsea source' as saying: "There are strong rumours that Capello is coming and it could be sooner rather than later."

The paper speculates that the continued presence of Roman Abramovich at the Chelsea training ground this week has increased the pressure on AVB, and if the Russian applies boot to arse then Capello will be the man to come in.

Wowsers.

...BUT NOT INTER
One club who apparently definitely aren't interested in Don Fabio is Inter Milan.

Club president Massimo Moratti said: "The theories reported by the media regarding a possible change of management, either now or at the end of the season, are entirely without foundation.

"The latest rumour, regarding Fabio Capello's arrival at Inter, is equally unfounded."

POGBA OFF TO JUVE?
So where will Paul Pogba be next season?

Manchester United rather hope it's there, after they offered the flipping massive midfielder a new contract to try and keep him from the clutches of...well, anyone else, but Juventus might have other ideas, it seems.

The Daily Mail reports that Pogba's agent was in the crowd at Juve's recent Coppa Italia win over AC Milan, and that the current Serie A leaders are keen on taking him to Turin when his contract expires in the summer.

And, just to pad this out a bit, here's what Sir Alex Ferguson said about Pogba's contract last weekend:

"We are negotiating his contract at the moment. It is a bit complicated at the moment because he has changed his agent a couple of times. But the boy wants to stay, that is obvious. Hopefully we can get it done soon."

Backstage News on The Miz, Update on Hero Signing

- WWE recently signed 21 year old UK wrestler Andre Tyson to a developmental deal. He wrestled in the UK as MVK Valkabious.
- As noted before, former Ring of Honor star Chris Hero has finally been signed by WWE. Word is that Hero's signing was delayed because he has a naturally elevated testosterone/epitestosterone level and WWE won't sign talents who can't pass the steroid test. It took months and many rounds of testing to prove that the high level was natural.
- The Miz was a big favorite of WWE management back when he won the WWE Title a year ago because of publicity that he brought the company. The feeling now is that Miz has regressed, both in the ring and on the microphone. The feeling is that when Miz was booked as a mid-carder before, he was hungry and forced officials to make him a headliner. Now he's back to the mid-card and isn't forcing them to push him. The botch with R-Truth on this week's RAW didn't do him any favors.

Jim Ross Blog: Rock Taking Cena & WM28 Seriously, Hungry Young Talent

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with another blog update, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are highlights of what JR said regarding the following questions from fans on Twitter:
"Is the Rock taking Cena and WM28 seriously?"

"Be assured of one thing about @TheRock...he wants...he needs to steal the show in Miami. There's no way that Dwayne comes back to the bright lights and big stage to perform against @JohnCena, who is WWE's biggest star, just for the hell of it. Wrestling is in Rock's DNA and he has the motor and mind set to electrify...if you will. I'm intrigued by this match and it seems to be boiling down to a simple matter of respect and appears to be getting more personal by the Tweet."

"Ironically, Rock and Cena were both products of organized athletic programs at the collegiate level plus they were both life long fans of sports entertainment which, in my opinion, are great places to start when one's recruiting potential stars."

"What is one thing that is missing w/ some of today's young wrestlers?"

"They aren't hungry enough or willing to challenge a top star for their spot on the roster. Too many talents are content to not make 'waves' and to live quietly and somewhat financially comfortable within their comfort zones. I can assure you that the comfort zone complex is the kiss of death in most organizations and businesses and is not exclusive to sports entertainment."

That dangerous maneuver – which, miraculously, did not result in serious injury – was a perfect distillation not only of Truth’s explosive athleticism, but of his gameness and reckless abandon in the squared circle. These remarkable qualities define him as a the wildest of wild-card Superstars, and could propel him to victory in the Raw Elimination Chamber Match.”

Roddy Piper Talks WrestleMania, Which Celebrity Should Be Inducted In The HOF, Cena Vs. Rock

As noted earlier, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper recently spoke with The Miami Herald about WrestleMania, the Hall Of Fame and what he's up to today. Here are some highlights:
Why he wants John Cena and The Rock in Piper's Pit: "It would get huge ratings... You can bring things they've done outside our industry back into our industry during the Pit. It's a statement I'm looking for. The statement is WWE is right up there with every other entertainment group in the world or better. That is the statement I would like to come out of that Piper's Pit. It's not for me. I have had a lot of Piper's Pits. I look at the roster, and I can really make that roll."

Headlining the first WrestleMania: "The first WrestleMania was March 31, 1985. Well, I probably wrestled every day up until March 29th in some arena some place. So when I walked out into Madison Square Garden at WrestleMania, it was really just another night to me. You just change the name of it; that's all. With the participants, mind you, we had the problem that I wouldn't do business with Mr. T. That put a real edge to it, but other than that, I was in Madison Square Garden a lot of times before we just put the word WrestleMania out there... If you as a performer are going to get all wrapped up in the title of WrestleMania, you aren't going to go out there and perform. You are going to psyche yourself out. If I'm in Poughkeepsie, I'm going to give 110 percent. If I'm in the Garden or Wembley Stadium, I'm going to do the same."

Why Mr. T should be in the Hall Of Fame: "[Yes] Nelson Mandela said something that always stuck with me. For 20 something years he was put in prison for political reasons, and he said that every morning when the guard would open the door he was the first one to extend his hand. I would hope that Roddy Piper would be man enough to stand up if they needed someone to induct him or say, 'Hello. How are you?' after all these years. I would hope I had that type of class."

If Mike Tyson should be in the Hall Of Fame: "I'm not sure about Tyson. Who did he wrestle? So after a few weeks [of appearances] you are going to put him in the Hall of Fame? What about Savage? All I'm saying is he has never wrestled. They are putting him in the 'celebrity wing', which is cool. They are doing it to also get a number. I'm a purist. There are a lot of guys who should be in the Hall of Fame.

"I'll tell you who should be inducted. Cyndi Lauper should be inducted into the celebrity part of the Hall of Fame. [She] doesn't get enough credit. While she received the female vocalist of the year [Grammy] award, the last thing she said when she got her award was, 'Roddy Piper, you are going to get yours.' That drew a lot of attention…. I think Cyndi would deserves to be inducted into the celebrity part of the Hall of Fame. That is just my opinion."

Never having won the WWE Championship: "That is actually something I'm proud of. People get titles to get over. I don't need no stinkin' badge. I never aspired for it. When I was 19, I won the NWA light heavyweight championship and 30 some other titles. So after all those kinds of accomplishments, I was in it for the business even though they try to make a big thing about it.

"So you've won it 10 times, Woo Hoo. Some guys won it 10 times. Some guys won it 12. Come on, I don't need no stinkin' badge. Just put me in there, and I get the job done. If I were to come back for one it would be just to face the champion or Vince McMahon."

Triple H Vs. The Undertaker Confirmed, Batista's Film, WWE Try-Outs

-- As previously reported, former WWE star Batista will be in the film Riddick. -- Advertising for the March 12th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw in Cleveland , Ohio has basically confirmed the Triple H vs. Undertaker rematch with the following advertising: "What will HBK have to say about the confrontation between his long-time friend (Triple H) and WrestleMania foe (The Undertaker)?"

-- Ten years ago, WWE held a try-out camp at the HWA facility in Cincinnati. At that time, Matt Morgan and AJ Styles were among those who tried out, along with Rene Dupree, Kevin Fertig (Kevin Thorn), Sonny Siaki and Tomko. At the time, WWE officials were reportedly very high on Styles and word was that there was a push for him to skip developmental and to head to the main roster.

Jericho-Punk RAW Segment + Six-Pack Challenge Ratings

As noted before, the February 6th WWE RAW Supershow did a 3.25 cable rating with 4.61 million viewers.

In the segment breakdown, the opener with Triple H started strong with a 3.62 quarter rating. Big Show vs. Daniel Bryan lost 508,000 viewers. Bryan's promo and the taped segment with John Cena with NASCAR's Carl Edwards gained 43,000 viewers. Sheamus vs. David Otunga lost 197,000 viewers.

The segment with CM Punk and Chris Jericho gained just 94,000 viewers – another bad showing for the 10pm timeslot. Randy Orton and The Great Khali vs. Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes lost 22,000 viewers while the eight-Divas match lost 139,000 more.

The Six Pack Challenge with Jericho vs. Punk vs. The Miz vs. R-Truth vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston gained 443,000 viewers, finishing at a 3.42 quarter rating. This is another low number for the overrun.

Jim Ross Note, Brawl Breaks Out At WWE Presser, WWE In Philly, Kane/Cena To Continue?

-- According to JustPushStart.com, The Wrestling Globe Newsletter is reporting that Jim Ross will be the main commentator for WWE '13. Michael Cole has been the main announcer for the previous two versions.
-- MiddleEastEvents.com has an article about WWE's press conference in Dubai today. Things got heated between Cena and Kane at the presser, resulting in Cena nailing Kane with the Attitude Adjustment. "Given the way the rivalry has grown between these two WWE Superstars, I am not surprised things got a little out of hand today," said John Laurinaitis. You can check out the full article by clicking here.

-- The official website for the Wells Fargo Center is advertising CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship, and John Cena vs. Kane for Raw on March 19th. Triple H and Chris Jericho are also advertised for the show. This would indicate that Cena and Kane will work house shows against each other past the Elimination Chamber PPV. As noted earlier, their feud is scheduled to end -- at least on television -- with their match at Elimination Chamber.

-- Raw superstars are advertised to appear at the April 3, 2012 SmackDown taping at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The advertised main event is a ten-man tag team match pitting John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Big Show and Sheamus against Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Mark Henry and The Miz.

This is the best percentage earned by any of the team's coaches...

In just over one and a half seasons, Jose Mourinho has won 72.4% of the games he's coached for Real Madrid on the road. This is the best percentage earned by any of the team's coaches.
Real Madrid are lethal away from the Bernabeu, winning 21 of their 29 games as visitors since Jose Mourinho took over. They've won eight this season and have a chance to improve on the 13 victories on the road they obtained the previous campaign. Legendary coach Miguel Muñoz needed 86 games to earn his first 21 victories on the road, while Mourinho has needed 59 fewer clashes.

More on R-Truth Following Missed Spot on RAW

- WWE posted the following on their website regarding R-Truth and Monday night's RAW:

"WWE officials have confirmed that R-Truth avoided serious injury after suffering a brutal fall on WWE’s Raw SuperShow Monday night.

The incident occurred during Raw’s main event Six Pack Challenge involving Truth, WWE Champion CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston and The Miz.

R-Truth performed a slingshot somersault over the top rope onto The Miz, who was outside the ring. Although the aerial attack glanced The Miz, R-Truth ended up receiving the brunt of the impact, falling back-first onto the floor. At that point, the referee decided R-Truth was no longer able to compete, and WWE officials helped him to the locker room area.

WWE officials do not believe any injuries sustained from the fall will keep R-Truth out of action."

Update on the HHH/John Laurinaitis Storyline

- WWE's website wrote the following this week in regards to the John Laurinaitis storyline from RAW:

"Following John Laurinaitis' presentation on Monday, the WWE Board of Directors has decided that the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations will remain as Interim General Manager of Monday Night Raw."

The Rock Speaks Out - Training, John Cena & More

The Rock was recently interviewed by Moviefone, here are the highlights…
On Finding Time to Train: You fit it in, that's what you do. I make sure there's a ring on location with me, anywhere that I shoot. I had a ring down in New Orleans, when I was preparing for the Madison Square Garden event. I have a ring down in Florida, a ring down in Louisiana; there's always a ring close by. In order to prep for WrestleMania, it's a lengthy training camp that requires daily work inside the ring because you can't simulate the physicality of professional wrestling.
Will John Cena Give Him Any Trouble?: The only trouble he's going to have is removing my size 15 boot from his ladyparts. That's right -- I'm excited about all the projects you just mentioned. I'm excited about WrestleMania; to be able to go back, team up with Vince [McMahon] and make a big vision like that come to life and create the biggest match-up of all time is very special to me. There's countless matches that have moved me and inspired me, and we're going to do something very special down in Miami, my hometown, sold-out Sun Life Stadium. Boots to John Cena's ass.
On His Next Film Projects: We just wrapped "Snitch," that was a hell of a schedule and we shot six day weeks, for six weeks in a row. That was a very intense role, but I loved playing it and it was an honor to become that man. Those are real events and real stakes between the U.S. government and drug cartels and a family.
["Pain and Gain,"] again, unbelievably a true story. We're in pre-production, and we're all -- meaning my team and Paramount and Michael Bay -- crossing "t"s and dotting "i"s. I've known Michael for some time, this has been a passion project of his, he gave me the script to read years ago, I loved it and wanted to make it then. Unfortunately, we have a very small window of time to shoot it before I go off and film "Fast Six."
